About Us

Minor Bros. Services began as a division of Minor Bros. Farm & Country in 2004.

Minor Bros. Services complements the seven existing Minor Bros. Farm & Country locations across southern Ontario by specializing in fence installations, feed deliveries and racetrack service.

Siblings Kevin van der Wier, Jason Vander Wier, Doug Vander Wier and Heidi Haanstra started the business together after recognizing the increased need for these services to the Farm & Country community.

Each owner has been part of Minor Bros. Farm & Country for many years bringing a collective 49 years of service to the business.
 

Kevin van der Wier

Kevin has worked with Minor Bros. since 1990, beginning in the Canboro location as a labourer in the warehouse, and moving to manage the North Pelham location in 1994. Kevin has a BA in Business Administration and has enjoyed applying this while working for the Minor family. Today, Kevin continues to manage the North Pelham retail store and oversees all aspects of the Minor Bros. Services company.
   

Jason Vander Wier

After receiving a BA in Agri-Business, Jason began to work at the North Pelham location in 1997. A year later, he became manager of the Fulton location. Today, Jason oversees the fencing installations, provides customers with detailed estimates and ensures complete customer satisfaction.
   

Doug Vander Wier

Doug studied auto mechanics in college and is mechanically minded. He likes to build a quality fence and makes sure every customer is satisfied when the job is done. In October 2003, Doug took the full-time position as the fence installation foreman and has built many fences across southern Ontario since.
   

Heidi Haanstra

Heidi has a diploma in Office Administration/Management and has worked for Minor Bros. since 1998. Heidi pays attention to all the behind the scene details and works doing all of the necessary office work. Today, she is on maternity leave at home with her twin baby girls.
